“Microdose” What You Need To Get Done
This is a transcript of the video which has been edited for readability.
I know there's a lot of discussion about microdosing these days and I wanted to share with you another concept that might actually be something you could apply today. And that is the concept of micro-actions, which is what we will be talking about today.
What Are Micro-Actions?
Sometimes, we feel overwhelmed with everything we need to do. So for example if you're trying to work out and you think, "Man I need to go work out and be in the gym for an hour or go for a 10 mile run." Sometimes this can seem overwhelming, which leads to discouragement.
Maybe instead of doing those macro-actions, you could do micro-actions. And what I mean by this is instead of doing 1 hour at the gym, do 10 push-ups instead. Or rather than a one-mile run, go for a 5-minute jog. You might want to start meditating and if you can't sit down for 30 minutes quietly, then meditate for one minute.
It All Adds Up
Doing these small micro-actions on a daily basis can play a significant role in improving your life. Because if someone does work out for even just 5 minutes a day for 365 days, that's going to add up to a lot of minutes. This is so much better than taking a 1-hour workout which you stop doing after a week because you get burned out.
Why not consider taking a micro-action today?
